As we say goodbye to the year that was, we would like to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone who has made our first year at Happy Go Travel so welcoming and experience rich.
Without you, our wonderful fans, the supportive brands we have worked with and the beauty Australia has to offer, we would not have had the same positive experience we were lucky enough to enjoy.
Our travel experiences this year
This year we have travelled quite a bit and we have enjoyed every second of it. As a result, we have had fans reach out to ask for tips, advice and recommendations. We have had members of our audience share their adventures and shout out when they see us on the road. It makes our day getting to know each and every one of you!
Some of our favourite travels this year have been:
Road trip from the Hunter Valley to Lightning Ridge
During this week we towed our camper trailer from place to place and stopped along the way to soak in the lesser known attractions. We got to know the local wildlife in the Warrumbungle National Park before experiencing the quirky opal mining town of Lightning Ridge and everything it had to offer. Our trip also included Goat Rock, Stanthorpe, Girraween National Park, Wollomombi Falls and Tamworth.

Central Queensland is often overlooked as a holiday destination however if you are looking for something less touristy but no less beautiful, this is a must!
Check out Emerald, Lake Maraboon, the Gemfields for some sapphire fossicking, Blackdown Tablelands and Carnarvon Gorge. There are some absolutely gorgeous swimming holes, camp spots and treasures to be found!

The Great Ocean Road
This trip was interesting. It was hectic and raining most of the time but an absolute must-see location. There is so much history and beauty to be experienced that it would be a shame to not visit the Great Ocean Road at least once.

What will the new year bring?
We will continue to share our 4wd adventures, travels, camping locations, tips and tricks and reviews.
We have also decided to open up our website to guest posts by travellers, adventurers, family explorers, and anyone else who thinks they have something worth sharing.
See how you can contribute to Happy Go Travel.
Caleb and I would like to say thanks again to everyone who has supported us this year, it means the world to us!
